Bridget Briant is a 500-hour RYT, registered with Yoga Alliance. She is certified in Yoga for Healing. She has studied several forms of yoga, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Restorative, Kundalini and various forms of meditation since 1993 and attained her first certification (200-hour) in 2002. Her classes are mainly Hatha and Ashtanga-Inspired, always with a nice long savasana. She started teaching children in 2002 and adults at Rutgers University in 2003, so all ages. Over the years, she has taught in many places in Central Jersey, too many to list here. In 2016, she was a research assistant in a clinical study with the Atlantic Neuroscience Department at Overlook Hospital in Summit, NJ to evaluate the effects of yoga on people who have Parkinson's disease. She now runs YogaToGoNJ, bringing yoga to you! Group yoga classes are held in various locations in Union County. Bridget continues to study the work of the great teachers including K. Patabbhi Jois, Swami Sivananda Radha, BKS Iyengar, and others. Bridget has a beautiful singing voice and ends her classes with Sanskrit chant. She is also a naturally talented artist and presents interesting and rewarding yoga craft workshops.
